The opening concert of the 18th International Music Festival "Voices of the World" "Openings", performed in the art of the Palanga Amber Museum, marks the clearly defined beginning of this year's program. The international chamber music trio assembled on the opening night presents the audience with a juxtaposition of the aesthetics and musical structures of two prominent eras – German Romanticism and French Impressionism.
The ensemble "Duettissimo" formed in Vienna - violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė and cellist Gleb Pyšniakas - today is considered one of the most mature Lithuanian chamber music ensembles, regularly performing in prestigious European halls. In this program, the duet is joined by guest pianist Antonas Rosputko (Austria-Latvia), internationally recognized for his stylistically precise and conceptually coherent interpretations
Two significant piano trios - works by Johannes Brahms and Maurice Ravel - become the centerpiece of the concert. These opuses reveal the musical languages, dramaturgical structures and aesthetic directions of different eras, and their juxtaposition acts as the conceptual basis of the entire program.
The artistry of the performers and the well-thought-out dramaturgy of the evening form a clear accent at the beginning of the festival, consistently establishing the thematic axis of the "Voices Mundi" festival.
