August 12 The vocal music concert "Human Voice" in Palanga Kurhaus is dedicated to prof. For the 40th anniversary of Asta Krikščiūnaitė's creative activity and the meeting of generations of singers she trained on stage. This evening honors the professor's contribution to the tradition of opera singing, in which the culture of stage partnership, the dialogue between the soloist and the pianist, and the interpretation and technical skills passed from generation to generation occupy a special place.
The singers participating in the concert are sopranos Asta Krikščiūnaitė, Vera Talerko, Katarzyna Dudareva, tenor Laurynas Viliušis, bass-baritone Ignas Melnikas, baritones Lukas. Sandu and Klaudijs Zajančkauskas — represent different generations of the professor's school. Young soloists actively participate in international competitions, internships and master's programs, and their professional path already extends to European opera stages. Pianists Audronė Kisieliūtė, Vaida Maulevičė and Svaja Skučienė create the most important support of the vocal evening — a delicate and professional dialogue between the concertmaster and the soloist.
The program includes a wide repertoire of vocal music: ensembles and arias by W. A. Mozart, fragments of operas by G. Puccini, G. Donizetti and G. Rossini, romantic ballad by N. W. Balfe, K. Weill the stage of the musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein musical theater classic and Vidmantas Bartulis' work "Muzika". This stylistic diversity allows different colors of voices, interpretation experiences and the continuity of the vocal school to be revealed.
The concert is naturally connected to the idea of the "Voices Mundi" festival — the human voice is perceived here as a universal artistic expression that connects generations, cultures and different musical traditions.
