Concert "Čiurlionis in the world" - a trip to the artist's soul with pianist Rokas Zubov.
The 13th International M.K. Čiurlionis Music Festival presents an exclusive concert featuring works by the legendary Lithuanian composer M.K. Čiurlionis. The sensual musical-literary program of Rok Zubov, a great pianist and Čiurlionis of Čiurlionis will invite listeners to a romantic journey, remembering the times of the composer in Palanga-his love for Sophia and the seaside of the walks.
R. Zubov will perform only M. K. Čiurlionis' works to the piano, revealing the emotional depth, the richness of color and mystical symbolism that became the distinctive sign of the composer's work. The concert program will give listeners the opportunity not only to enjoy music, but also to hear personal insights on Čiurlionis' life, his worldview and the creative path, which the performer himself will be illuminated. Rock Zubov's stories about his great -grandfather and his work will reveal new aspects of the most unveiled works of the most famous Lithuanian composer. The concert will also feature a new vinyl record of Čiurlionis' works by Rock Zubov.
The "Čiurlionis in the World" is more than a concert. It is a trip to the world of Čiurlionis, where music, history and family traditions intertwine.
The 13th International M.K. Čiurlionis Music Festival is part of the Čiurlionis 150 anniversary program.
