The 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival gives you a unique opportunity to hear the sound of a string quartet and harp in one scene by performing a joint concert program. String Quartet "Mettis" is one of the most prominent Lithuanian chamber music groups, international awards, and Liucilė Vilimaitė is one of the most talented harp generators of the younger generation, actively performing in prestigious European halls and festivals. In the program "Čiurlionis and Debussy", listeners are invited to immerse themselves in a deep emotional and cultural world. M. K. Čiurlionis String Quartet C-Moll is permeated by the spirit of Lithuanianness and the fundamental creative heritage of the nation, while Claude Debussy's works-String Quartet G-Moll and "Sacred and Secular Dance"-embody French impressionism. The program will feature Arnold Bax Quintet harp and string quartet, full of romantic expression and rich texture, complement the concert with the colors of British music. Program:

About the performers:
The String Quartet "Mettis" is one of the most prominent Lithuanian chamber groups, which was established in 2012 at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. Later, the quartet improved in the European Academy of Music (ECMA), where he attended the best educators in the world. The quartet is the 2nd place winner of the 8th International String Quartet (France) and the 9th International V.E. Winner of Rimbotti String Quartet Competition (Italy). Mettis performed in prestigious halls such as Wigmore Hall (London), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Laiszhalle (Hamburg), Calouste Gulbenkian, Washington Gallery of Arts (Washington, USA), Tel Aviv Museum Invalides (Paris) also participated in famous festivals: Montpellier Radio France, Aix-Ens Provence, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Luberon, Vilnius and others. In 2015, the quartet released his first CD album. In 2017, Mettis organized a tour in China, and in 2018 he made his debut in Israel, Panama, USA and Canada. Liucilė U. Vilimaitė is an harpist and composer interested in unconventional ways of performing music. She started her musical path at Vilnius Bali Dvarionas Music School and later studied at the Hague Royal Conservatoire. graduated from master's degree. Lucile performed in Lithuania and abroad, played with Klaipeda, St. He participated in concert tours in the Netherlands and with the Southern Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra at Christopher, Vilnius University orchestras. 2021 performed a new work of Algirdas Martinaitis.
