Ballad's Moonlight is a concert of the ensemble Fortvio, which combines the beauty of different epochs and music traditions inspired by natural landscapes and poetic images. The 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival invites you to an exclusive concert where different era, styles and music traditions will meet from Lithuanian to world music masterpieces. The Fortvio ensemble, which demonstrates the highest professionalism and ignition, will always be surprised by the listeners. This time they will present a unique program whose deep emotional experiences and music discoveries combine the spirit of M. K. Čiurlionis' creative work with the beauty of the masterpieces of other great contemporaries. In the concert we will hear the work of Čiurlionis, which conveys the beauty and symbolic images of the composer's birthplace, Eduard Balsys' Habaners, where elements of Lithuanian and world music blend. The Dumky Trio of Antonín Dvořák's Trio will also be performed, where the harmonious elements of Romanticism and folklore resemble Čiurlionis' music. The program will be complemented by the famous Claude Debussy Moon Light, illustrating the impressionist approach to nature. And Astor Piazzola's "Winter" and "Spring", M. K. Čiurlionis' works are themed as well as the very important relationship with nature.

About the performers:
The piano trio Fortvio, famous for its lively and contemptuous interpretations of music, was established in 2006. and from the very early days he became involved in active professional activities. Ensemble of the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in 2006 In April, he won 1st place in the international Stasys Vainiūnas Piano and Chamber Ensemble Competition (Vilnius, Lithuania), and in September of the same year he won 3rd place in the XIII International Johannes Brahms Competition in Preasch (Austria). Professor Dalia Balsytė helped the piano trio to prepare for the contests. 2007 In the summer, Fortvio made his debut at the International Thomas Mann Festival in Nida, which often returns to the original programs. 2008 The ensemble successfully participated in the 3rd International S. Tanejev Chamber Ensemble Competition, won the 2nd place and two special bonuses. 2012 Fortvio became a member of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). Their performance in the international competition for music educators in Warsaw brought an exclusive award - in the Grand Prix chamber ensemble. The trio's music is not only the technique that is precisely perfected, the organic sense of musicality, but also the contemptuous interpretations of the works that are enriched by a senseless sense of humor. The repertoire of the ensemble is the works of various eras, from one classicism, in the 19th century. Romantic until the 20th century. the works of music and contemporary Lithuanian composers. The repertoire variety is intertwined in a single concert program, fascinates not only in color but also in depth. 2014 Fortvio became the winner of the Government Culture and Art Prize of the Republic of Lithuania.
