When only four strokes remain from music, everything else is creative and intuition.
Tonight, a time machine running on stage, flying from the 20th century. At the beginning of the 19th century Leipzig to the shore of Preila today. The genius Čiurlionis and the three modern composers try to imagine what it might have been if the Ciurlionis' work on the cello and orchestra would have been completed.
The concert will feature premieres - the dedications of the violets Martinaitytė, Arturs Maskats and Mihkel Kerem, based on four surviving Čiurlionis strokes. Little? Yes. But - as adventurers say, sometimes a small track can become the beginning of a new world.
Pianist Rokas Zubovas (not only Čiurlionis' creative connoisseur but also his great -grandmother) and the young generation cellist Gleb Pyšniak - one of the most prominent talents of the Lithuanian stage, worked on this restorative musical documentary project.
The concert will also be heard by Čiurlionis' piano miniatures - this time the newly spoken cello voice.
The Festival Premiere is a bridge between the epochs, with a hand extended to a creator whose visions inspire to create further.
