The piano trio FortVio (pianist Indrė Baikštytė, violinist Ingrida Rupaitė and cellist Povilas Jacunskas) came together in 2006. This ensemble marked the beginning of its career not only with resounding wins in international chamber music competitions, but also with successful debuts at various international festivals (from the Thomas Mann Festival in Nida to festivals in Austria, Portugal, Germany and elsewhere), in 2009 received the "Golden Disc" award. In 2012, the trio became an active member of ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) (only 2 Lithuanian ensembles have achieved this status so far), won the Grand Prix at the 2013 competition in Warsaw, and in 2015 FortVio won the Lithuanian Government's Culture and Art Prize. FortVio eventually established itself as one of the most professional chamber music ensembles in Lithuania, constantly appears in concert halls, as well as with chamber and symphony orchestras. One of the most memorable recent projects is the program filmed by LRT for the 700th anniversary of Vilnius.
Trio for violin, cello and piano (1921) by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979) will be the centerpiece of FortVio's 20th anniversary program. The world is rapidly discovering this 20th century. Half British
the composer's work in Lithuania is, in principle, still unknown. The Trio is a technically complex and emotionally powerful work. And since FortVio tirelessly promotes the chamber music of Lithuanian composers throughout its twenty years of existence, the selected central piece will be supplemented by several works by Lithuanian composers and summer surprises.
