"Marti Encore:12" is a concert that invites you to a sensitive musical story about a woman's life, work and the passage of time. The axis of the program becomes a dialogue between the world of the woman depicted in Žemaitė's story "Marti" and the experiences of a modern woman, building a symbolic bridge between different eras.

The concert will feature works by Lithuanian female composers for violin, clarinet, piano and percussion, supplemented by fragments of Žemaitė's texts. The cycle of twelve musical opuses symbolically responds to the twelve months of the year and reminds us of the constantly repeating rhythm of life - daily work, worries, responsibilities, creativity and moments for ourselves. As in life, so in music, many experiences come back like an "encore" - once again, in a new form.

This concert is an invitation to reflect on how the role of women in the family, society and culture has changed over the course of more than a century, what has remained unchanged and what has taken on new forms. Here, music and literature merge into a single narrative, where the voices of the past meet the present, and women's work and experiences become a common narrative of cultural memory.
