The legendary brass ensemble "Boston Brass" (USA) is on stage at the XXIII International Chaim Frenkel Villa Summer Festival.
Boston Brass is one of the most famous brass instrument quintets in the world. Actively performing for more than four decades, the collective creates a unique musical expression that combines colorful classical arrangements, fiery jazz standards and top-level original compositions for brass ensemble. The uniqueness of Boston Brass lies in the technique of the highest craftsmanship, combining classical sophistication and light playfulness. During its career, the ensemble has performed in all 50 US states and more than 30 countries around the world.
The quintet consists of internationally acclaimed musicians: trumpeters José Sibaja and Jeff Conner, horn player Chris Castellanos, trombonist Domingo Pagliuca and tuba player William Russell. Their performances impress with impeccable performance technique and the ability to establish a close relationship with the audience. Boston Brass is known for its exceptional energy, virtuosity and ability to present classical music in a modern, attractive way with a good dose of humor.
The ensemble cooperates with symphonic and concert wind orchestras, organists and jazz ensembles, constantly creating new repertoire together with contemporary composers. Boston Brass' mission is to empower and support music educators worldwide, motivate young musicians, and expand the boundaries of brass music through innovative concerts, collaborations, and new works. They regularly organize master classes, residencies and educational projects in different countries of the world, from general education schools to prestigious music conservatories.
