"SAVI | Returns" is a series of concerts dedicated to the 790th anniversary of the city of Šiauliai, inviting you to meet talents whose creative path began in Šiauliai. These are not only concerts, but also meaningful returns to the city where the first musical discoveries were born, which laid the foundations for today's creative activities. The cycle reminds us that Šiauliai cultivates talents who make the city famous in Lithuania and the world with their achievements.
September 26 in the "Saulė" concert hall, accordionist Eglė Bartkevičiūtė will return to her hometown - an internationally recognized performer whose musical path began in Šiauliai. For this special evening, she invited her long-time friends from the stage to join her - one of the most prominent Lithuanian music creators Saulias Petreikis and jazz performer, guitarist Donatas Petreikis. Together, they will invite the listeners to an inspiring musical journey, where improvisation, authentic traditions, contemporary creativity and free musical thought will intertwine.
Eglė Bartkevičiūtė is an accordionist, laureate of international competitions, actively performing in Europe and the United States. Her performances were heard in prestigious concert halls and festivals in France, Italy, Germany, Lithuania and other countries. In 2024, the performer won the prestigious "CMA Trophée Mondial" award and became the first Lithuanian to win the World Accordion Trophy. Her repertoire combines classical music, original works for the accordion and modern interpretations, and each concert becomes a sensitive and sincere dialogue with the listeners.
Saulius Petreikis is a bright phenomenon of the Lithuanian music scene and one of the country's most expressive creators. His music includes traditional and archaic wind instruments, and his concerts are characterized by energy, abundance of emotions and unexpected sound discoveries. The work inspired by Baltic and Scandinavian traditions invites the listeners to a colorful musical journey that attracts audiences of all ages.
Donatas Petreikis is a guitarist, jazz performer and creator, actively performing in Lithuania and abroad. His music combines the language of traditional and modern jazz, improvisation and author's creativity, which gives concerts a unique sound and vitality.
This concert is a meaningful return of Eglė Bartkevičiūtė to the city where her musical journey began, and a unique opportunity to hear her on stage together with her longtime creative friends Saulius and Donats Petreikis.
