ORKESTA MENDOZA - an exceptional big band that has repeatedly made the Lithuanian audience go wild and forget all their worries. Anyone who has been to their concerts knows that there is so much energy here that it really doesn't show much.

Their music is full of Latin rhythms: Mexican mambo, psychedelic cumbia, ranchera, merengue, rumba and indie rock. Sound unexpected? That is the charm of Orkesta Mendoza. Inspired by different cultures, regions and musical traditions, the musicians create a unique, hard-to-frame sound.

"Orkesta Mendoza" is a project of producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Sergio Mendoza living in Tucson, USA. Growing up in the Ambos Nogales border region between the US and Mexico, Sergio was surrounded by different cultures and music from childhood. Border radio stations broadcast the most diverse sounds, and this diversity became an integral part of his work.

Today, "Orkesta Mendoza" is one of the most prominent Latin alternative music collectives in the United States, which has won the hearts of audiences all over the world. in 2016 the group's album "¡Vamos A Guarachar!" was recognized as the best album of Latin American music, and the group itself left such a strong impression on the professionals of the global music industry that it became the only US group to be invited to perform twice on the WOMEX stage.
