La Mafia de la Gozadera is a group of eleven musicians with a Mediterranean spirit, born in the multicultural heart of Amsterdam. Their music is an explosive mix of salsa, Afro-Cuban rhythms, flamenco and jazz that invites you to celebrate, dance and enjoy the moment.
The name says it all. "Mafia" does not mean anything dark - it is a close family united by music, joy and friendship. And Gozadera? This is exactly what happens at each of their concerts: an energetic celebration full of rhythm, good emotions and a sense of togetherness.
The band is currently based in Amsterdam and regularly appears at festivals, cultural events and private parties in the Netherlands. They were the performers at the closing concert of the Kriterion film festival, appeared at the prestigious Dias Latinos festival in Amersfoort and participated in the Jaleo Sound Festival in Amsterdam.
Their repertoire consists of original compositions and carefully selected gems of salsa music from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia and Spain. This is how a distinctive and energetic sound is born, which reflects traditions and at the same time creates a modern musical identity.
The group was formed three years ago when its members met while studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Although all the musicians come from different regions of Spain and bring their own musical traditions and influences, they are united by a common passion for Latin American music. Since then, they have grown into a dynamic collective united by friendship, cultural diversity and a love of live music.
La Mafia de la Gozadera's diverse cultural and musical experiences merge into one powerful sound. In their music, salsa becomes a space where Mediterranean temperament, Latin American rhythms and modern creative energy intertwine.
