CONTINENTS. MUSICAL JOURNEY Jurgis Juozapaitis (viola), Emilija Rožukaitė (piano) Program: works by R. Schumann, B. Kutavičius, F. Chopin, G. Gershwin, A. Pärt, A. Piazzolla Pianist Emilija Rožukaitė and violist Jurgis Juozapaitis for the music of the young generation, active in the musical life of Lithuania and foreign countries. Both musicians acquired their professional knowledge in various world music academies and conservatories (Lithuania, Paris, Hamburg, Helsinki and Oberlin (USA)). Being not only experienced soloists, but also members of chamber ensembles of various compositions, Emilija and Jurgis got together to inspire new musical discoveries for a new chamber duet. With its interesting concert program, the ensemble aims to present a relatively rarely performed repertoire to a wide audience, to acquaint listeners with the stylistics of the viola and piano genre, and to present the works of Lithuanian composers to this line-up of performers. Their wide repertoire includes compositions of various styles and genres, thus adding color and dynamism to the concert program, while the duo members' international professional experience ensures a high level of artistic value.
