Valentine's Day at Užutrakis Palace! An extremely vital and spring-fresh program is dedicated to this special afternoon of the year: glowing fantasies on the themes of operas and opera arias will be played - free-breathing, singing, rich in beauty melodies, interspersed with virtuosic flute and piano passages.

Composers Giulio Briccialdi (1818 -1881) and Pietro Morlacchi (1828-1868) - flautist virtuosos, flute principals of Milan's "La Scala" opera house, well versed in the traditions of Italian opera performance and have translated it into transcriptions of operas for flute and piano. Paul Taffanel (1844-1908) was the founder of the French flute school. His works, like those of Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848) and Pablo de Saratės (1844-1908), are included in the golden fund of the flute repertoire.

This program will be presented by the laureates of international competitions, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (prof. A. Vizgirdas class) and the Lyon (France) National Music and Dance Conservatory (prof. Ph. Bernold and J. Beaudiment class). ) graduate of Panevėžys Music Theater principal flute, conductor and pedagogue Justinas Mačys and pianist Mantautas Katinas - Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (prof. G. Ručytės-Landsbergienės kl.) and a graduate of the London Royal Academy of Music (prof. Sulamita Aronovsky kl.).
