Kaunas Big Band invites you to a magical musical journey with Karl Friers (US/Germany).
Karl Frierson is a phenomenal vocalist, master of improvisation, songwriter, experienced educator, has exceptional personal charisma, emotional communication on stage. Its lush, deep, exciting, virtuoso -controlled voice is overwhelmed and engaged.

K. Frierson was born in the US in 1968. He came to Germany for a short time as a member of the Gospel Choir. The fateful coincidence brought the future jazz star with the members of the well-known De-Phazz group and the friendship that encouraged him to remain in Europe forever. Karl and the band began to perform in musical clubs, recorded solo songs and did not expect to ever receive global glory. The intoxicating flight of success for K. Frierson and the band began after signing a contract with the international music company Universal Music.

In his biography, hundreds of festivals and concerts around the world, and the geographical boundaries of musical activities are constantly expanding. As a true musician of music, he travels through various scenes, meets the most talented stage partners, and at the same time creates unforgettable jazz rhythms, funk, soul and blues fireworks. Karl's performance with Kaunas big band is no exception. The singer's music styles can be described as a mixture of Soul, Jazz Fun, Jazz and Lounge, with warm vocals, emotionally rich interpretation and a strong sense of play.
Kaunas Big Band and K. Frierson's program will feature a bright, melodic and inner energy cartridge composition Cat & Mouse, Dance the Night Away, Goodthang, Faces, Rise & Shine, Time Slips and many others with a personal signature of K. Friers.

Kaunas Big Band (Chief Conductor - Tomas Botyrius) - The first professional jazz orchestra in Lithuania, founded in 1991. - After one year of restoration of the independence of the Republic of Lithuania. For more than 30 years, the orchestra is a flagship of jazz culture in Kaunas and Lithuania. During his time, Big Band was a witness, participant and creator of significant jazz events in the country.

For several generations it became a school of jazz life for many Lithuanian musicians. The annual Lithuanian jazz festivals - Kaunas Jazz, Birštonas Jazz Festival, Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival, Šiauliai Big Band Festival - are hard to imagine without Kaunas Big Band.
The orchestra has organized a number of memorable concerts and presented many world -class music performers to the audience with whom Kaunas Big Band has traveled to a number of foreign countries with tours in Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland and others.
