Pro memoria to priest Ričardas Mikutavičius. Poetry under the church vaults.
July 7. Tytuvėnai St. In the Virgin Mary Queen of Angels Church, actress Dalia Michelevičiūtė will lead the audience with her voice in an afternoon dedicated to the memory of priest and poet Ričardas Mikutavičius. Reverend Ričardas Mikutavičius (1935-1998) of bright memory spent 13 years as pastor in Tutyvėnai, her memory smolders in the hearts of parishioners living in this Žemaitija town. The prominent clergy house accommodated three persons: an unconventional clergyman, a picky art collector and a unique poet who based his profound renewal on theology, art, and poetry. In Tytuvėnai, in the very period of "mature socialism" (eighties-nineties of the 20th century), R. Mikutavičius established a literary stand in the church, where the poetry of Bernard Brazdžionis, other expatriate poets, the philosophy of Antanas Maceina, and the priest's own attempts at poetry were published. He also did countless works here: nurtured the church choir - a large group of four-voiced parishioners, hand-composed bouquets to decorate the altar, prepared the interior of the Easter morning church, which is impressive in its size and splendor, renovated the organ, the floor of the church and arcades, for which the priest himself laid the tiles together with the workers Richard fell to his knees, but the most important of them is the gathering of parishioners closer to the church despite atheism, the invitation to turn to God. In the evening dedicated to the bright memory of the clergyman, the Lithuanian National Drama Theater actress Dalia Michelevičiūtė will fill the church vaults with the sounds of poetry. The actress does not hide that her faith inspires her to live: "Without Mass, the day would lose its most important focus," she says, and the artist finds paradise "in the sacraments and in the eyes of humble people, in quiet conversations with those to whom she can always and everywhere tell the truth."
"Love is a vocation written in the heart of every person. She is the greatest gift, promise and our hope. Happy or painful, gentle or dramatic, love for man, God, Motherland is an extraordinary force that awakens creativity. Love and words shine in poetry in various forms. The reality of human life unfolds in it: thoughts, feelings, insights."
