The properties of this device, which is rarely found in practice and is still new in Lithuania, provide the composer with new opportunities for musical expression. The composer notes that the MiMu Gloves instrument is best revealed in interaction with other acoustic and electronic musical instruments. The new compositions being prepared for this concert will sound with the author's familiar combinations of vocals, live electronics, saxophone and orchestra! Raminta Naujanytė - Bjelle is a doctoral candidate in the art of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, chairwoman of the board of the association LATGA, a well-known composer and performer. Raminta graduated with a bachelor's degree in academic composition and a master's degree in electronic composition. After half a year in the Erasmus exchange program in Iceland, her attention turned to new technologies in music. During her graduate studies, she and her team developed sensor-based devices and an attribution system for gesture-controlled music performance. She is now researching non-tactile gestural musical devices and their functions in composer-performer practice. Bjelle is well known to the Lithuanian audience as the author of lyrical songs and a participant in television projects, but in this concert, the author will reveal herself in the context of another musical aesthetic. This performer and creator has performed and presented her musical compositions in Norway, Ukraine (2013), Switzerland, USA (Chicago), Iceland (2018), Japan and South Korea (2019).
