V INTERNATIONAL JOSEPH ACHRON MUSIC FESTIVAL "Song of Memory" Giedrius ARBAČIAUSKAS (singer) Dalia DĖDINSKAITĖ (violin) Gleb PYŠNIAK (cello) The program "Song of Memory" is born from the texts of the writer, humanist, winner of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize Grigorijus Kanovičius. In his work, Vilnius opens up not only as a city, but also as a space of memory, lost voices, coexistence of cultures and human dignity. Based on Kanovičius's essay "The Dream of Lost Jerusalem", a sensitive literary and musical narrative is being created about the city where different peoples, languages, destinies and faiths met. Here, word and sound complement each other: the read texts become the inner voice of the city of Vilnius, and the music opens up what remains behind the words — longing, silence, light and the fragility of memory. Music by M. K. Čiurlionis, César Cui, Duettissimo, Maurice Ravel and Anatolii Šenderov will be played. Works from different eras and stylistics are combined not as separate numbers, but as integral parts of the dramaturgy accompanying the world of Kanovičius's texts — from lyrical concentration to painful historical memory and hope. The chamber evening will be created by actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė and cellist Gleb Pyšniak. They will invite you to listen to the memory of Vilnius — personal and common, fragile and alive. TEXT: Grigorijus Kanovičius MUSIC: M. K. Čiurlionis, C. Cui, Duettissimo, M. Ravel, A.
