Nawab Khan & The Mantra Band goes on a tour of Europe almost every summer, and this time they did not miss Vilnius.

Straight from Jodhpur, the eternally blue city of India, from the majestic fort of Rajasthan, the hundred-footed stunor, tabla and bansuri flute sounds that will enchant and take everyone on a journey through the inner world. This journey will be taken care of by the performer of classical Indian music, the master of restraint, Nawab Khan and the meditation group The Mantra Band (Naim Khan and Shaizan).

Nawab Khan is the 9th generation scion of a famous family of Indian classical music court performers. He started playing music at the age of six and initially focused on the sarangi, an instrument his family had mastered, but soon adapted his unique style to the hundred-stringed refrain. To this day, people often tell him that his technique is different from what they are used to hearing - the artist takes these observations as compliments.

Nawab is not only a professional musician and teacher, but also a music therapist, he has founded "Musical Meditation Center" in Mehrangarh Fort, where visitors to the center are invited to experience the healing properties of Indian music. So it is not surprising that Nawab Khan & The Mantra Band and during this concert will invite you to dive into the ragas of Indian classical music with your whole being, to learn more about the therapeutic effect of music on the mind, body and soul.
