MUSIC CONNECTIONS | Darius MAŽINTS recital on the occasion of the National Day
On the occasion of the National Day, pianist Darius Mažintas invites you to a festive piano music concert. On July 6, the artist will play the works of F. Chopin, M. K. Čiurlionis and E. Satie at the Trakai Voke manor homestead. All these genius composers are united by a sense of spiritual freedom, creative dedication and love for their homeland. These values are important for a pianist, they shape the identity of musicality and inspire the search for a form of performance. During the concert, we will hear how the compositions of M. K. Čiurlionis and F. Chopin lead us through spiritual discoveries, creating a connection with the environment of the Trakai envelope manor.
The famous nocturnes of F. Chopin played by D. Mažintas are emotionally rich, full of undertones that will undoubtedly be noticed by the concert audience. Pianist F. Chopin's nocturnes were performed in war-torn Ukraine, the latter seemed to express the desire for freedom and hope. The work of M. K. Čiurlionis was also not chosen by chance. During the concert, we will hear the compositions of one of the most outstanding Lithuanian artists, which would not have been born without creative freedom and love for Lithuania. According to D. Mažintas: "M. K. Čiurlionis is a deep creator who saw colors and events that many did not. When performing his music, it is important for me to notice those colors and convey them to the listener as I feel them".
Darius Mažintas playing the piano is associated with expressiveness, delicacy and emotional access. The pianist is characterized by musicality and unique, sensitive interpretation, unexpected nuances and unique musical images. Darius Mažintas has won awards in international competitions, is invited to play music at festivals, has organized solid performances with various orchestras and recognized partners of the Lithuanian and foreign scene. The pianist organizes the youth music mastery camp in Neringa for the fourth year in a row. in 2023 Darius Mažintas performed a recital during the NATO summit.
