Čiurlionis Piano Competition Jinhyungs Park, the winner of the prestigious "Grammy" Warsaw Philharmonic Choir and the talented tenor Bartosz Nowak, and together with them will immerse themselves in three different musical stories inspired by the home theme.
The concert will begin with L. van Beethoven overture "Consecration of the House", which opened the doors of the oldest theater still operating in Vienna. F. Mendelssohn's First Piano Concerto was inspired by the music of the young pianist Delphine von Schauroth, the composer had romantic feelings for this girl and hoped to create the warmth of his home together. to his native Poland from a trip around the Mediterranean region. Inspired by the impressions of long wanderings, the work conveys the mysterious beauty of the oriental night. The text of the symphony was written in the 13th century. the poem of the Persian mystic Jalāl al‑Dīn Rūmī and the mixture of ecstatic music by K. Szymanowski fascinates with a particularly expressive emotional charge. "The whole score glows with wonderful color - rich but never blinding and not austere like Persian paintings or silk carpets. Such intuition has no precedent in Western music", - this is the impression the symphony left on the Persian composer Kaikhosru Sorabji.
The concert is partially financed by the funds of the Professional Art Dissemination Program of the Ministry of Culture
