June 24, 8 p.m. we invite you to another impressive concert of authentic music from distant lands - the group TARTIT from Mali will perform at the Kirtimiu Cultural Center! The musical nomads TARTIT are one of the leaders of the Tuareg music scene, and one of the few groups made up mostly of women. There will be four of them at the concert in Vilnius, supported by two guitarists.

? The group TARTIT was founded in 1995. in exile between the refugee camps of Mauritania and Burkinabe. All its members are from Timbuktu region, Goundam town. The group's goal is to sing about exile, love, peace and the political situation of the Tuareg nation, and to preserve traditional Tuareg music, which is slowly disappearing.
? TARTIT concerts are an invitation to travel to the desert. Their mesmerizing music inevitably takes you to the mystical world of the Kel Tamasheq (Tuareg speaking people). The magic of the show is enhanced by the beauty of traditional clothes and authentic instruments, while the songs consist of traditional and contemporary tunes.
? At the concert in Vilnius, TARTIT will present their latest album "Amankor / The Exile", as well as more traditional songs from their rich repertoire. Women's voices, applause and dancing - we have no doubt, a memorable trip awaits!
