Jazz Cellar 11 club opens the concert season with a special international project, which is composed of some of the most prominent jazz musicians of the Baltic States , led by American trumpeter and composer Jason Hunter, who recently formed this ensemble to perform and record original compositions and time-honored jazz classics. Their sound can be described as a fresh and inspiring new look at modern jazz, which fuses swing, hard-bop, Latin and other styles.

Jason Hunter is from Los Angeles, California. Having studied music at Fullerton College and Berklee College of Music with jazz masters such as Mark Whitfield, Ralph Peterson and Tiger Okoshi, Jason has performed in various projects as a guest musician or band leader around the world. Currently, Hunter lives in Tallinn and plays with the most prominent Estonian jazz, funk and pop music artists as a trumpet player, as well as arranges, composes and produces many projects.

Famous Latvian organist Atis Andersons and Lithuanian drum master August Baronas provide the core for this wonderful combination of styles.

One of Estonia's best alto saxophonists Allan Kaljaste joins Hunter with his passionate playing style and improvisations. adding to the group's composition.

Jason Hunter Baltic Quartet is currently performing to present the new album "ImagiNation", released by "Jerikas Records".
