Kjetil Mulelid - Norwegian pianist distinguished as an inventive artist combining jazz, psalms and improvised music both in his playing and compositions. In order to tell a story in each musical phrase, he treats each song as a blank canvas and "became" melodies and natural rhythmic strokes in playful music.
2014. after graduating from the famous Trondheim Conservatory, he actively performs in various parts of the world with his music and projects. He has played concerts in most of Europe and Japan and released several critically acclaimed albums.
Over the years Mulelid has played and collaborated with many great musicians such as Arve Henriksen, Jason Moran , Barry Guy, Trygve Seim, Mats Eilertsen, Audun Kleive, Kirsti Huke, Ola Kvernberg, Eirik Hegdal, Sissel Vera Pettersen, Rob Waring and Petter Vågan.
Trio , featuring musicians from some of Norway's most exciting jazz groups, such as Norway's Grammy-winning Hegge and the nominated Megalodon Collective, Wako and Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, play modern acoustic jazz, and their music is a combination of Kjetils Mulelid's compositions and pure collective improvisation .
