July 15, 7 p.m. We invite you to the concert of one of the brightest singers of the young generation of Pakistani traditional music, MUSLIM SHAGGAN, at the Kirtim Culture Center. Tabla player Asher Shehzad will also appear at the concert.

MUSLIM SHAGGAN's singing style is technically refined, but gentle, and his work is characterized by a fusion of different historical traditions. He is a descendant of Bhai Mardana (1459-1534), who played with the pioneer of Sikhism, Guru Nanak.
This dynasty of Rababi musicians eventually adopted Gwalior-style Hindustani vocal music, and Muslim was tutored by one of the finest exponents of the style, Ustad Ghulam Hassan Shaggan, who carefully trained him from the age of 7 to carry on this centuries-old musical legacy.
Today Muslim regularly performs at all the country's most important classical music festivals and concert halls, and also appears on radio and television. In addition to his excellent skills in the Khayal genre, the musician is equally adept at performing various other forms of South Asian music, including contemporary and folk styles.
His musical experiments are based on traditional knowledge, but are not constrained by strict methodologies.
At the concert at the Kirtim Cultural Center, MUSLIM SHAGGAN will perform his 2025 songs from the released album "Asar" and other creations.
