Opera for babies "Baroque paukšta" is a sensitive musical experience for the smallest viewers and their parents. In this performance, baroque music meets movement, imagination and the sensory world of the theater. The performance invites children and adults to experience music not as a concert, but as a live, close and playful encounter.
The stage creates an environment enriched with light, fabric and bird symbolism, where music, singing, movement and acting merge into one common narrative. The audience, sitting close to the performers, can freely react, move, explore sound and space.
Baroque Bird was created by the independent theater No Shoes in cooperation with the Lithuanian National Philharmonic. This is one of the first attempts in Lithuania to create a professional work of the opera genre for babies: adapted to their senses, rhythm and emotional world.
The performance features adapted arias from the operas of Georg Friedrich Händel, Alessandro Scarlatti, Nicola Porpora and Johann Adolf Hasse. The music is arranged in such a way that it preserves the beauty of the baroque, but is close to the sensitive world of the little listeners.
Attention! A ticket is also required for small spectators.
The production of the play is financed by the Lithuanian Council of Culture
Recommended age: 0–3 years
