Classical guitar concert

In the cozy hall of the Muzeoteka, ideal for chamber music, for the first time since its opening, the childish Renaissance, philosophical Baroque music performed on the classical guitar will be played. And although J.Dowland and J.S.Bach wrote the latter for the lute, its little sister, the guitar, perfectly copes with scores saturated with rich harmony. You will also hear works by Spanish, Latin American, and Lithuanian composers of the 19th - 21st centuries. The concert will take place without any sounding equipment, hyper decibels, reverbs, other digital "colorings". Natural sound - this is already becoming a real rarity in concert spaces.

I hope the listeners will be interested in getting to know the hall itself. It is a relatively new concert space in Vilnius. You can say that this hall is still a baby. It was opened just a year ago, in mid-March 2024, after a 16-year reconstruction of the building.

So, don't miss the opportunity and see you soon. By the way, don't hesitate too long, because there are not many places, and tickets will be more expensive in March!

Performer Algimantas Pauliukevičius:

Laureate of international competitions, guitarist who actively performs. He started studying classical guitar at the age of nine. Pupil of Vilnius J. Tallat-Kelpša Conservatory, Belarusian and Lithuanian Music Academies. Teachers: S. Šilinskas, doc. J. Kurauskas, Prof. J. Hridiuško. His rich legacy of archival recordings is often heard on Lithuanian Radio.
