Pianist Gabija Natalevičienė invites you to a cozy Christmas recital.
During the Advent period, as the most beautiful holidays of the year approach, pianist Gabija Natalevičienė traditionally invites you to spend time with the music of Olivier Messiaen and his cycle "Twenty glances at baby Jesus".
O. Fragments of the "Book of Sounds" cycle by the German composer Hans Otte will be played at Messian's music concert. Meditative music focused on the magic of sound will focus you for deeper listening to music, directing your gaze to the inner world and away from the outside noise.
O. During the concert, the pianist, who has deeply studied the symbolism of Messian's muzka, will perform four plays of the cycle related to the Christmas period, revealing the content encoded in them and the consistent plot line. This time, the Father's gaze full of love and admiration, a naively and treacherously shining star, will be directed at the baby Jesus this time.
Listeners will also hear one of the most beautiful parts of the cycle - "First Communion of the Virgin", which very sensitively and delicately conveys the feelings of the Virgin expecting a baby. - from quiet love and excitement to a loud frenzy of joy. The views of the most important characters of the cycle will be crowned with a noisy picture of the Christmas holiday.
