Opera soloists have been using their bodies as instruments for centuries. This is still a rarity in the world of instrumentalists. Dominyka Šeibok is an exception.
This exceptionally versatile artist, flutist and author of projects has captured the attention of the audience of the Music Magic Club more than once, both with profound classical music concerts and unexpected performances. This time she returns with the unique project "Embodied Music", in which she will break standards and try to prove that the instrument is only a part of what the performer can express on stage.
We will hear a theatrical interpretation of Schubert's "Ständchen", in which Dominyka will join forces with pianist Simona Zajančauskaita and percussionist Džiuga Daugirda. Later, the artist will perform Debussy's piece "Syrinx" completely without the instrument itself - it will be revived only through facial expressions, voice and the "language" of hands. The evening will be crowned by theatrical free improvisation - a unique, long-matured style of Dominyka herself, which one would like to call a completely separate art genre.
