Tomas Kutavičius - composer, pianist, improviser - in his own way combines the instruments of jazz and classical music. Alongside jazz, academic music occupies an important place - from vocal miniatures, choirs, chamber works, to symphonies.

He played in the quartet of S. Sasnauskas, forged new boundaries of the genre with D. Naujokaitis and J. Milašius, "shepherded the wind" with Vytautas Labučius, made music with many Lithuanian and world jazz creators - from P. Vyšniauskas or V. Tarasova to K. Kugel or J. Haffner. However, from the jazz field, Tomas Kutavičius was immersed in composing, music for the theater, and academic music for almost two decades. Finally, after recording the solo CD "Lake", Tomas Kutavičius returned to jazz and improvisational music, returned to the field of music where his stage career as a pianist began in 1985.
