Ferenc List "Via Crucis" is a unique and deep dramatic piece that conveys the path of Christ's Cross through music. This opus is distinguished by its innovative harmony, expressiveness and inner tension, combining choral music, soloists and instrumental inserts into a seamless spiritual journey. It is one of the most impressive examples of List late creation, revealing its deep religiosity and artistic maturity. During the Lent period, inviting concentration and reflection, this piece takes an even deeper meaning. Via Crucis, or the Way of the Cross, symbolically reflects the suffering and journey of Christ and the journey towards the resurrection, while List's music conveys this path with exceptional dramatism and deep spiritual expression.
