For the thirteenth summer, the International Summer Music Festival Vivace Vilnius is delighted with concerts and mastery lessons for young performers in the thirteenth summer. Each year, festival organizer Eglė Jarkova invites soloists who are known to Lithuanian listeners to the capital. There are those who come for the first time.
It is said that the most perfect instrument is the human voice. It is gratifying that the first time the bass baritone Simon Robinson and the pianist Christina Wright-Ivanova are coming to Lithuania. Soloist Simon Robinson is the winner of the Baroque Opera Competition in Innsbruck (Austria), cooperating with conductors Raphaël Pichon, Helmuth Rilling, René Jacobs and others. Pianist Christina Wright-Ivanova is a partner of the singers' scene, accompanied by competitions and concerts. The concert will be attended by five more soloists from all over the world, who will be accompanied by pianist Inga Vyšniauskaitė.
We are kindly invited to come to Vilnius Town Hall on August 5 and hear Arnold Schönberg, Johannes Brahms, George Butterworth, John Ireland, Charles Wolseley and other composers. Voice and piano duets are waiting for you!
