Four seasons, four cellos, four radically different dancers.
The dance and live music performance "Seasons" is the first joint work of the Šeikos Dance Theater and the Klaipėda Cello Quartet led by Mindaugas Bačkaus. One of the world's most popular works - Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" - is performed live by cellists and takes on a new, deconstructed form on stage. The different seasons and elements are embodied here by each of the performers who are unique in their field, with very different expressions and plasticity: the aristocratic ballerina Beata Molytė, the so-called theater shaman Benas Šarka, the mime actor Aleksas Mažonas, and one of the strongest modern dance dancers of his generation, Marius Pinigis. Choreographer Agnija Šeiko managed to skillfully strengthen the cooperation of these personalities on stage, giving them enough freedom of expression. In this way, an unexpected harmony of dance and music performers of different performers is created on the stage.
