This is not just an excursion. This is also a stay with colonel Domininkas Grabys and his family, who lived in Panemune between the wars.
In the interwar period, a military engineer, colonel Domininkas Grabys, also created happiness with his family in the resort of rich villas of the temporary capital and in the residential area of officers in Panemunė. He was the first and last head of the Linkaičiai arms workshop, in 1933. awarded with the 3rd degree Order of Gediminas of DLK and the Jubilee Medal of the 10th Anniversary of Lithuanian Independence.
D. Grabys was a famous state and public figure. Today, almost a century later, in order to honor the memory of their great-grandfather D. Grabis, the great-grandchildren opened the doors of their homes to us as well. The villa is named "Grabytė" in honor of her grandmother.
A 40-minute walk around Panemunė and a cozy stay at the villa "Grabytė" await you. Here you will hear stories about the intelligentsia of Independent Lithuania and their lives. We will touch not only authentic, preserved items of the Grabiai family, but also heart-wrenching stories.
