This tour -gustation is for those interested in Lithuanian interwar cuisine.
You are waiting for you 1 hour. Tour of the temporary capital (Žaliakalnis), followed by 1.5-2 hours. Tasting at the Park Avenue restaurant (Perkūno al. 4, Kaunas) and the story of the cuisine of that time, the favorite dishes of famous people, the nutritional habits of the high -class, the daily routine of restaurants and cafes.
We will visit the building - Perkūno al. 4 - At the interwar period at the former German messenger residence. So it's not surprising that the tasting menu was chosen based on what the guests were enjoyed by the last messenger of the residence - E. Zechlin. A lot of valuable knowledge was given to us by the grandson of the messenger Thomas.
The beginning of the tour at Kaunas Sports Hall (Perkūno al. Per. 5). The tour route will lead us through the streets of Žaliakalnis until they take Park Avenue (Perkūno al. 4).

During the tasting we will taste:
♥ Forest mushroom stroke with truffle and pecorin cream
♥ Natural duck broth with maulstasche (dumplings with pork). For vegetarians - vegetable broth.
♥ Beef rase (roll) with polenta, Romanesco cauliflower and red wine sauce. For vegetarians - fried cheese with the same garnish.
♥ Dessert "Black Forest" with chef made cherry ice cream

Lithuanian and German drinks can be booked during the tasting.
