We invite you to view the wonderful treasures of the Vilnius Archcathedral treasure. The treasury of the Vilnius Archcathedral is the oldest and most abundant of all the treasures kept in the churches of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Rulers, nobles, and bishops donated luxurious liturgical items to the barely established cathedral: crosses, chalices, reliquaries, and monstrances. These works of sacred art are expressive witnesses of the tradition of piety and masterpieces of goldsmithing. During the wars, the treasure was hidden, the last time it was in the hiding place on the eve of the Second World War and remained there until 1985, you will hear the story of their mysterious discovery.
During the tour, together with the guide, you will also walk around St. Archangel Michael's Church and the former St. Bernard Monastery - an impressive Renaissance ensemble, built on the initiative of LDK Chancellor Leon Sapiega (1557-1633) and became the mausoleum of the founder's family.
The duration of the tour is 1 hour.
The price of the excursion is 1 EUR + visitor ticket (10 EUR, with a discount of 5 EUR).
