On the occasion of his jubilee birthday, the composer Gintaras Sodeika presents museum visitors with the organ piece "Aperta Clausura", specially created for this occasion. Music will flood the space on the day of free admission - the composer will play unique 19th-century pieces preserved in the museum. with the Italian organ from 6 p.m.
The creator of the piece says: "St. 19th-century paintings of the Galasso dynasty masters of the Neapolitan tradition in the Archangel Michael's Church. the created organ is a small, cute and not always in perfect tune, but cozy instrument. While researching the organ and church acoustics, I unconsciously began to jot down sketches of musical ideas in the margins. I soon realized that these sound components are like fragments of colored glass connecting into a unified sound stained glass window. I didn't notice that St. St. Michael's Church would have at least one stained glass window, and I realized that this one, mine, would sound great under its vaults. The change of light and shadows, sounds and silence. This is how I imagine open closure: Aperta Clausura. This stained glass window is not an ordinary piece of music, so I decided to make it myself."
Composer Sodeika, known as the author of music for performances, creator of happenings, festivals and curator, who creates "sound design" for non-traditional environments and visual art presentations, in the neighborhood the manager of the J.
