Latvian director Diāna Kaijaka delves into the themes of love, self-determination, motherhood, ambition and loss in the play. Focusing entirely on the life of a single character, it tells a love story that begins as a stand-up comedy and ends in tragedy - the collapse of a family. A woman falls in love with a decent, intelligent, funny man who gives her enough space to expand both as a mother and in her career. She is in no rush to find her place, and he is in no rush for her. When she finally finds her vocation in the film industry, the children start attending kindergarten, the idyll begins and falls apart. It is a story about complex relationships, professional ambitions, family life, romantic relationships, which acts as a warning to rethink our commitments to each other and to society. It's a story about surviving the darkest events, enduring grief, and maintaining humanity and hope. This is a story about the most beautiful and terrible things that a person can do and experience.
