Richard the 3rd. The Man' is a journey inspired by William Shakespeare's most fascinating character, Richard III. Using a practice-based research method, we tried to delve into his psyche and explore the complexity of Shakespeare's constructed character in order to later produce results with the historical truth about Richard III and identify the resulting moral dilemmas.

Through many through monologues, soliloquies and interactive scenes, Richard III will show his chameleon personality, inviting the audience to see the mechanisms through which he manages to manipulate those around him, indifferent to the consequences of his actions, to achieve his goal.

We did not aim to create a theater archeology show, but to find the culmination of theatrical experiments and artistic explorations. By immersing ourselves in Shakespeare's text, historical context and the themes of Richard III, we have created a performance that captures the essence of Shakespeare's vision while offering new perspectives and interpretations. Throughout the play we will explore many themes such as power and the glamor that corrupts it, the nature of evil, the manipulation of language and the fine lines between reality and fiction.
