The Cultural Festival "Purple Evening" presents: 2025. August 16 2pm Anykščiai Cultural Center is a performance "Wedding" directed by Oscar Koršunov.
The performance is created by resisting the German classic Bertold Brecht's work and based on current issues. Becoming a phenomenal phenomenon and a constantly changing performance are a new adventure and lasting memories. It deals with the moral duplicity of society, and the whole action is essentially spinning about the loss of the bride's chastity. But "Wedding" speaks not only of the duplicate morality and chastity, but also about the collapse of customs, the absurd deformation of what was once the most sacred things in human existence: weddings, funerals, cosmogonic cycle sense and celebration traditions. The performance is extremely open, with a lot of improvisation, and the types and situations created are so peaceful that they do not leave indifferent.
The producers of the performance are OKT/Vilnius City Theater, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
