"I've been wanting to do a mono performance for a long time. After I started actively looking for material, I met the Belarusian director Alexander Marchenko, who offered me this play with some hesitation. Already the first sentences "caught" me. Everything is so similar to my own experience", - says actress Edita Uzaitė, who plays in the play "Nude".
"Naked" is the debut play of Mila Fakhurdinova, a playwright living and creating in Moscow, written for the prestigious Lyubimovka Festival. It is a completely documentary work - the only discrepancy is that Mila, who stayed in India for nine months, realized that she lacked material, so she returned there a second time and stayed for another three months. The play "Naked" is a compilation of her two experiences.
M. Fakhurdinova graduated from medical studies was preparing to be a pediatric surgeon, but did not work according to her specialty. Fascinated by cinema, she started shooting amateur short films, studied directing and screenwriting with Boris Yukhananov, and later at the Moscow New Cinema School. M. Fakhurdinova even became a laureate of several short film festivals. After the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she successfully changed her profession and obtained the qualification of a tattoo artist and now works in one of the most expensive salons in Moscow. Reading the last blog posts of the author, it seems that she still promises to return to the cinema.
