In the plot of the dance performance "Youth, or the scenarios by which parents and children live", fragments of the lives of six families intertwine and two worlds collide - children's and adults'. It is a contrasting psychological tragicomedy, in which the modern dramas of family life are conveyed in the language of dance, to the powerful music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The performance "Youth" has already become a sensation on the Lithuanian theater stage in the last few years and was even recognized as the most watched twice in a row dance performance throughout Lithuania (in 2023 and 2024, according to www.bilietai.lt), continues its journey across the country and into the hearts of the audience in the new season of the ACH theater, already in its 27th season. Full audience halls, tens of thousands of people who have already seen it, always strong emotional reactions of the audience, always sensitive feedback and always thunderous ovations - "Jaunystė" does not leave anyone indifferent, deeply touches the heart of the viewer, encourages reflection on relationships with the closest ones. In the performance, the central thematic axis of which is the not always simple relationship between parents and children, for the first time even three dance genres were intertwined: classical ballet, contemporary-modern dance and street dance. Also, for the first time in the history of the ACH Theater, well-known, experienced masters of stage art, ballet soloists, actors, dancers and children aged 11-13, the most talented students of ballet, dance and acting schools, young artists of the Youth Troupe of the ACH Theater, established in 2022, are creating roles on one stage. As they grow up quickly, every season "Jaunystje" dances and the children are embodied on the big stage by a constantly renewed line-up of little dancers carefully prepared by the choreographer Anželika Cholina herself. Speaking about her directed dance performance "Youth", which premiered in 2023. achieved phenomenal success and has already undoubtedly entered the history of Lithuanian theater, A. Cholina emphasizes: "I have always been interested in getting closer to the truth about life by exploring various aspects of relationships between people. The relationship between parents and children is the most complex form of communication between people. Families are basically created at a young age, so most of them become parents when they are still children... This performance is a kind of art therapy session that allows us to look inside family life. With this work, I want to encourage adults to look at children as equal personalities and to see their uniqueness in them. The strong impact of the play "Youth" and its ability to deeply touch the hearts of the audience has also been evaluated by research - in an experiment to measure emotions, in which dozens of audience members participated, and their reactions were analyzed by experienced analysts and psychologists, the impact of the play was identified as indisputable strong, transforming, encouraging not only great aesthetic pleasure and joy, but also contemplation and self-reflection of the audience about their own relationships with loved ones.
