They cause rebellion and take the entire creative process into their own hands. However, is it really possible to create a good performance without collaborating with others? After all, staging a play requires a lot of different knowledge and a common creative vision that the whole team would believe in. THE SECRET LIFE OF PUPPETS is a celebration of the 65-year creative path of the Kaunas State Puppet Theatre. During this performance, we will not only see what the process of creating a play looks like, but we will also be able to see in action authentic puppets from plays that are no longer performed, which many remember with joy even today: Blue Dog, Pinocchio, Merry Rooster, Black Hen, Little Red Riding Hood and Wolf. According to the director of the production, Milda Mičiulytė, this performance not only raises the question about the creative process of the theater and the importance of cooperation between different artists, but also gives meaning to the question "what remains after the artist?". Can a work, in this case theater puppets, outlive its creator? What remains on stage after the lights go out? During the 65 years, the Kaunas State Puppet Theater has created many artists, and their creative legacy affects today's creators as well. Some try to distance themselves from this dowry, others just look for inspiration in it, but the desire to discover their unique voice and vision is universal.
