This year we will celebrate the 460th anniversary of V. Shakespeare's birth. Just as it was almost 500 years ago, so today, the themes explored in the works of this classic are still relevant and raise many questions and make people search for answers.
"King Lear" - late A tragedy from the period of V. Shakespeare's work, which tells about the legendary British king who, believing in the charms of his older daughters, divides the kingdom between them, and left the youngest and most beloved Cordelia, who expressed her feelings with restraint, unadorned. Unfortunately, the king realizes too late that he has given his wealth and power to his daughters who do not deserve his kindness. the youth reject the established values and rules of the older generation and blindly try to create their own. This process takes place both in microcosms, i.e. in the smallest social cell, such as the family, as well as in the macrocosms - the state, the world.
The aging main character of the play, Lear, asks himself questions: "What did I do wrong, why the daughters who loved me so much, turned away from me and my values, why I was left alone.'' Lyra did not know how to love. Failed to pass on values based on love, so his daughters turned away from him. The creative team will consider what is the main problem of family, state, civilization and all social relations. Maybe we as humans are making the same mistake? Maybe as a society we make the same mistake - we focus on our egocentricity and are unable to love.
The creators will aim to create a play for adults based on visuals, objects and forms in the play of actors' body plastic, telling about painful states of loneliness, isolation.
