"King Lear" is a tragedy of the late period of V. Shakespeare's work, which tells about the legendary British king, who, believing in the charms of his older daughters, divided the kingdom between them, and the youngest and most beloved Cordelia, who expressed her feelings in a restrained manner, left her unadorned. Unfortunately, the king realizes too late that he has given his wealth and power to daughters who do not deserve his kindness. Using puppet theater tools, the team aims to reveal the complex and phantasmagoric world of King Lear, where relationships based on lies and self-centeredness are woven in the kingdom of crooked mirrors, leading only to even greater alienation and betrayals. Can there still be room for sincerity and love in this crazy dream?
The play of objects and forms and the body plasticity of the actors will tell the story of the painful states of loneliness and isolation experienced by the aging King Lear. The ruler, who in the past was only focused on himself, was unable to sincerely love and pass on true values to his daughters.
460 years have passed since V. Shakespeare created this tragedy (1605-1606), the themes explored in "King Lear" remain extremely relevant and encourage today's people to raise fundamental questions and search for answers that meet the challenges of the modern world and problems of our society.
