Together with the puppet theater master, let's make a mysterious curtain and move to the reality of the dolls: music sounds, no songs, a lot of adventure, and a little brighter colors. The theater dolls decide that they are tired of being controlled by other actors-leeks. They cause rebellion and take over the whole creative process into their own hands. However, is it really possible to create a good performance without cooperating with others? After all, building a play requires a wealth of different knowledge and a common creative vision that the whole team would entrust.
The secret life of puppetry is the 65-year-old creative path of Kaunas State Puppet Theater. Not only will we see what the performance process looks like during this play, but we will also be able to see the authentic dolls that are already playing, which many people still remember today: the blue dog, Pinocchio, fun cock, black hen, oregano and wolf. P>
According to the director of the production, Milda Mičiulytė, this performance not only raises the question of the theater's creative process and the importance of cooperation between different artists, but also gives meaning to "What remains after the artist?". Can the work, in this case the theater dolls, make a living for its creator? What remains on the stage as the light goes out? Over 65 years, many artists have created at Kaunas State Puppet Theater, and their creative legacy also works today's creators. Some try to distance themselves from this dowry, others are just looking for inspiration, but the desire to discover their unique voice and vision is universal.
