"King Lyre" is a tragedy of late V. Shakespeare's creative period, telling about the legendary British king, who, by entrusting the eldest daughters, divided their kingdom, and the youngest and beloved Cordelia, who expressed his feelings. Unfortunately, the king is too late realizes that he has given his wealth and power to his daughters, who are not deserved his kindness.
The creators of the performance delve into the personality of the protagonist, King Lyre, his (not) ability to love and hear their closest people. With the help of a puppet theater, the creative team aims to reveal the complex and phantasmagoric world of King Lyro, where in a dream or crooked mirror kingdom, a relationship that is just a relationship that leads to even greater alienation and betrayal. Can this crazy dream still have room for sincerity and love? How often do each of us deliberately or without understanding that we find ourselves in the King's Lyre? The ruler, who in the past concentrated only himself, could not sincerely love and convey true values to his daughters.
460 years after Shakespeare created this tragedy (1605-1606), "King Lyre" explores the topics remaining particularly relevant and encouraged today challenges and the problems of our society.
