Solo Theater invites you to the performance-concert "CLARA. "LOVE SONG", based on the life and work of the famous German composer and pianist Clara Schumann (1819-1896). The life of an extraordinary personality will be presented on stage by the duo of two well-known artists - director, actress Birutė Mar and pianist Guoda Gedvilaitė, who lives in Germany.
Clara Schumann's fate is shrouded in legend - Clara Jozefina Wieck, the daughter of the strict and well-known piano teacher of the time, Friedrich Wieck, who has been gifted as a pianist since childhood, has been performing since the age of eleven, composing music, and at the age of nineteen, she is already a well-known pianist touring Germany , Austria, France (she is one of the few European female concert pianists of that time). Clara soon marries the young composer Robert Schumann. Obeying her husband's wishes, she tries to give up her career as a pianist and sacrifice herself for her family - she has eight children. Fate determines that another great composer enters their home - Johannes Brahms, who falls in love with Clara, who is fourteen years older than him...
Like Alice in the mirror kingdom, Clara travels through the worlds of music and love, surrounded by eight children, a genius dreamer husband Robert Schumann, at the same time tries not to give up his vocation - not to stop his intense concert life...
In the performance-concert about the fate of Clara Schumann, the works of C. and R. Schumann performed by pianist Guoda Gedvilaitė will be told (by the way, in the world of music, this pianist often called "Lithuanian Clara Šuman") and translated into Lithuanian for the first time, fragments of C. and R. Schumann's letters, diaries and memories of contemporaries are interpreted by actress Birutė Mar.
