We live in difficult times. Existentialism permeates all of our being. But we live. And we rejoice, and we laugh, and we curse, and we curse others, and we laugh again, we cry a little, but we get up again. So is Elena, the heroine of this play. She laughs at her life, at her story, and you, the audience, laugh with her, but with respect, with the tenderness characteristic of history.

Elena's story is special, because it is created from the stories of other, the most real, women who walk around us, perhaps even living in the same Lithuanian city. REAL stories collected and woven into the performance by playwright Dovilė Katiliūtė.

This is a documentary performance that takes the audience to a mystical, but at the same time absurd and funny meeting, in which Elena, who has reached a crossroads in her life, will be forced to to choose.

Mono performance "TO BE" is about our decisions and living with them.
