"Separate Safety Belts" is an ironic and visually engaging satire that is pitying the darkest sides of the modern world. With a light grotesque spice entertaining the audience, the creators of the performance open up the shiny surfaces of technological progress to us, after which they are shining with what we would rather close our eyes: the ever -deepening social inequality, indifference to nature and the dangerous belief that the future can escape from the future. At the center of the narrative we see Megan, a ambitious young woman, determined to sacrifice everything for the illusion of status, recognition and progress. On the occasion of her birthday, she receives an extravagant gift - an exclusive invitation to travel to space. And while some of the elect is flying into the stars, most remain imprisoned in reality. The performance calls us to fasten our seat belts, and also raises the essential question: where do we actually fly?
